Maya stood outside the station with Leo's suitcase. A sign on the cafe door said, "Closed for ." She called Leo and looked around. Across the road, she could see a library and a small garden.
"Could we meet at the library ?" she asked. "It is easy to find." Leo liked the idea, but his bus was late. He would at half past four, not four.
Maya checked the time. She had thirty minutes to wait. "That is fine," she said. "I will be beside the main ." She sent him a photo of the building so he could recognise it.
While she waited, Maya bought a sandwich and called Alex. Her cousin was happy she was safe. Then Leo arrived, carrying another blue suitcase. He waved, but suddenly stopped. Through the open pocket of his own bag, he saw a small white he did not recognise.
